Lesser Than, the debut album from The Subordinates. A culmination of the youthful, raucous behaviour that characterises these four fine young individuals, Lesser Than breathes adolescence. A sound derived from many that have graced stages (or haven’t) The Subordinates aim to please, but who in which they are aiming to please has not yet been identified. Ranging from the poetically classical piano piece ‘Palpable (The Holders of it All)’ to the fast and raw turns of ‘Huxley Grandour’, Lesser Than presents a broad array of music.

Spending their days indulging, playing gigs around Fitzroy and Brunswick, The Subordinates have made somewhat of a name for themselves, maybe only a nickname, but a name nonetheless. The sound obtained on this live stage they’ve gotten to know, is captured, but most importantly, the feel is captured. The anger, hardship, falseness, boredom, confusion and notably subordination has been caught.
